Project Title

Promotion of Family Initiatives to Address Family Planning and Reproductive and Child Health Needs, through Increased Male Participation

Achievements

  • Increase in number of married women in the age group 15 - 49 years made aware of modern family planning method and RCH issues by 40 per cent
  • Increase in number of married men among couples where the women is in the age group 15 - 49 years made aware of modern family planning methods and RCH issues by 40 per cent
  • Increase in number of unmarried adolescent girls in the age group 15 - 19 years made aware of modern family planning method and RCH issues by 60 per cent
  • Increase in number of unmarried adolescent boys in the age group 15 - 19 years made aware of modern family planning method and RCH issues by 60 per cent
  • Increase in number of eligible couples where women are in the age group 15-49 years who have adopted a modern family planning method 30 per cent
  • Coverage of children in the age group 0-5 years for immunisation reaches up to 80 per cent
  • All pregnant women receive at least 02 antenatal checkups
  • All marriages are registered by the panchayats
  • Infant mortality rate brought down by 30 per cent

Achievements

  • Reduction in the rate of HIV infection among HRGs so as to reduce morbidity, mortality and impact of epidemic in the Lucknow district
  • To provide testing services to 50 per cent of the clients/ sexual partners of HRGs through ICTC (VCTC, PPTCT)
  • To cover 100 per cent (relative figure of all HRG in working area not known) HRGs in the project area with awareness on STIs/ HIV prevention and services
  • To provide STI examination and counselling services to 100 per cent of HRGs with whom the project is interacting through Syndromic Case Management approach at least once in a year. (Effort would be made to counsel  100 per cent not only at the STI clinic but also at field level)
  • To refer 100 per cent of the identified STI cases of the targeted population in the project area to the existing government and private facilities for STI management at least once in a year
  • To promote correct and consistent usage of condoms among 100 per cent HRGs in the project area
  • To mobilize 100 per cent all primary and secondary stakeholders to support project activities
  • To increase community ownership of the project by ensuring at least 10 per cent community representation in the decision making process
  • To enable the formation of 05 number of SHGs amongst through HRGs in each TI
  • To provide counselling services to 100 per cent of the HRGs through ICTC (VCTC, PPTCT) (All would be referred to ICTC but as per experience 100 per cent avail these services)

Achievements

  • 02 RCH camps organised in all the centres during which vaccination, immunisation to children and nutritional supplement to pregnant and lactating mothers were provided
  • Over 1000 vaccinations and immunisations of BCG, DPT (1st, 2nd and 3rd), measles and booster doses of DT and DPT provided to children in project villages
  • Over 200 women provided with IFA tablets and TT vaccination
